Regulate Retirement Homes Now

SEIU Local 1 Canada calls on the Ontario Government to start regulating resident care in retirement homes immediately.

The current laws regulating senior care in this industry are almost non-existent. Retirement homes have the same kind of obligations that colleges and universities have for their dorm rooms.  But the needs of an 87-year old are very different from the needs of a 17-year old.
