Essential care: Red Cross workers understand the needs of their clients

There has been a dispute with the Red Cross regarding the care of essential clients. SEIU has told the Red Cross that our members will be providing care to the 7 day and statutory holiday clients and any client they feel that by not providing care to would compromise their health. We have told Red Cross that the home care workers who provide this valuable service know best the care needs of their clients and will act accordingly. Do not get into lengthy discussions with your supervisors.
