International Working Woman's Day (IWD) is celebrated on March 8 every year since 1911.  It is a major day of global celebration for the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.  

The Canadian federal government has declared that Strong Leadership. Strong Women. Strong World: Equality is the theme for International Women's Day.
